Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening, using special whitening materials applied by a custom made splint, is a safe and quick method to restore the appearance of discolored teeth to give a beautiful bright smile.
There are many methods of tooth whitening, but all use specially formulated peroxide to bleach away blemishes and discoloration from the teeth. Many preparations are availabe over the counter in pharmacies, but these only produce a weak effect. Stronger preparations, used unsupervised at home, have risks. The best results are obtained by power whitening in a dental practice.
Dr Lendl uses the Zoom whitening system, which makes use of strong formulations of whitening gel, applied by a special tray, with an activating infra-red ultraviolet filtered light light.
The effect is almost always very gratifying, though the whiteness does fade a bit after some time, so the treatment may need to be repeated at intervals.
Porcelain veneers
Porcelain veneers are custom made facings, manufactured to precisely fit the recieving tooth, and bonded to it using advanced technology adhesives. Veneers can be used to restore dark and discolored teeth, or repair fractured or chipped teeth, or correct malformed or misaligned teeth, or close gaps between teeth.
Through extensive experience, Dr Lendl is highly skilled in the placement of veneers, so that they cannot be differentiaed from natural teeth, even with the closest inspection!
